Five Reasons to Bless or Praise the Lord
Bible Text: Psalm 103:1-5 | Speaker: Pastor James Zaebst
Psalm 103:1-2: We are to praise God for all the benefits He so richly gives us as divine gifts.
Everything good we have comes from God (James 1:17).
Psalm 103:3a: He willingly forgives all our iniquities. He forgives all we have done wrong (Colossians 2:13). God through Christ forgives all sins of the whole world (I John 2:2).
Psalm 103:3b: He heals all our diseases. He has the ability to heal all (Mark 5:25-34), and He will heal all (II Corinthians 5:1-4).
Psalm 103:4a: He redeems (saves) is from destruction. We are all guilty sinners who deserve death (Romans 3:23 and 6:23).
All who believe in Christ will not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16).
Psalm 103:4b: He gives us kindness and mercy.
We deserve neither one (Romans 3:10-13).
Psalm 103:5: He satisfies all our appetites with that which is good.
Our families (Genesis 2:18, 21, 22 and 4:1).
Our world with all its beauty (Psalm 8:3-4).
God tailor made our world to satisfy us completely.
