Four Groups of People (Part I)
Bible Text: John 9:1-23 | Speaker: Pastor James Zaebst | Series: Four Groups of People
(1) Questioners – (John 9:1-2) These people ask the big questions. Why are we hear? Whats it all about? Why do we suffer? Here Christ answers their questions (John 9:3-7). We as a Church must answer them too (I Timothy 3:15).
(2) Seekers – (John 9:8-12) These are those who are truly seeking Spiritual answers and Spiritual truths. They want to know “What happened to you?” and “By what power did it happen?” We must always be ready to give them what they seek (I Peter 3:!5). Be ready with you own personal testimony (Mark 5:1-19). Jesus told the maniac of Gardara “Tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee and hath had compassion on thee”.
(3) Deniers – (John 9:13-16) These are looking only to discredit and dismiss your faith. They look for any way to deny the miraculous and the power of God. We must battle them on every side with all that we are (Jude 1:3-4). We must willingly prepare and outfit ourselves for battle (Ephesians 6:12-17).
(4) Those of weak faith – (John 9:17-23) Some have a degree of faith but it is not strong enough that they can defend it when threatened or attacked. We must welcome those of weak faith (Romans 14:1), and build it up (I Peter 2:2 and I Thessalonians 3:10).
