Four Steps to Securing God’s Blessings
Bible Text: Proverbs 3:1-6 | Speaker: Pastor James Zaebst
Proverbs 3:1(A) – Do not forget my Word.
To not forget it, we must take it in in the first place.
We will not do so unless we value it (Luke 8:5-15 and Psalm 119:105).
Proverbs 3:1(B) – Take my Word to heart.
We must have a teachable Spirit (Psalm 86:11).
We must willingly respond to God’s Word (John 14:23).
Proverbs 3:2 – Your life will be better.
God wants the best for us (Jeremiah 29:11 and Psalm 30:1).
God’s Word rightly lived produces abundant blessing. It is not a book to steal our joy but gives us abundant joy.
Proverbs 3:3 – Act in mercy and truth.
Believers should always be merciful (Luke 6:36).
Believers should always be truthful (Proverbs 12:7).
Proverbs 3:4 – In being merciful and truthful you will please both God and man.
Proverbs 3:5-6(A) – Seek God’s way always.
Always do you very best to find God’s will in any situation (Romans 8:14).
Proverbs 3:6(B) – If you seek God’s way it will be made known.
Our part is; Don’t forget God’s Word, but take it to heart. Act in mercy and in truth and always seek God’s way.
Our Blessing from God will be; a better life that pleases God and our fellow man and a full understanding of God’s plan for our life.
