God took all of our sins and put them on Christ. Christ, in His death on the Cross, personally paid the extreme price for all of our iniquity. God knew He would become a man and pay for all our sins through His own death on the Cross before He ever made the world (Ephesians 1:4).
Just how did God bring it to Pass? How did He make it happen?
He knew just what Israel wanted, and He promised it to them through the prophets (Luke 1:67-74).
They desperately wanted saved from their enemies (Matthew 21:1-11).
When Israel was not immediately saved from their enemies, they demanded Christ’s death (John 19:14 and 15).
God, in the flesh, was killed in the most horrible way imaginable, a horrible death on the Cross of Calvary (John 19:16-30).
He was killed that we might live.
He died our death, in our stead, for our sin (Hebrews 2:9).
