Luke 10:25: An expert in the Mosaic Law tries to put Christ on the defensive side with a disingenuous question.

Luke 10:26-28: Christ turns it around and answers his question with a question, putting the Lawyer on defense. (I Corinthians 1:20 and 27)

Luke 10:29: The Lawyer looks for a loophole his desire is an easy path to demonstrate his shallow superficial faith.(Matthew 23:23)

Christ’s answer to this Expert in the Law follows:

Luke 10:30: A physical need that pictures aSpiritual need.”

Luke 10:31: The Priest personifies Ritualism, Ceremonialism and Religion. All of this is no help. His needs are not met. (Acts 8:26-28 and 35-39)

 Luke 10:32: Legalism fails to meet the need as well. (Galatians 2:21)

Luke 10:33: Help from where we would not look for it!The Samaritan is a picture of Christ. (Isaiah 53:2 & 3 and John 1:11)

Luke 10:34 and 35: Christ alone is all Sufficient. (John 14:6)

Luke 10:36 and 37: We are all the world will ever see of Christ. (I Corinthians 12:12) Don’t show the world Religion or Legalism it will not meet their needs. Show them Christ and His matchless love for them.(Romans 5:8) - (Be the Samaritan)
